Financial Exemption Program for Domestic Help Services (PEFSAD)

Reduction Terms

Fixed Reduction

$4.00 per hour of service for every eligible person.

Additional Reduction

Between $2.76 and $22.08 per hour, depending on:
  • Household income
  • Family situation
  • Age (65 and over)
  • A CISSS/CIUSSS referral (for those under 65)

Final Payment

The client pays the difference between the company’s rate and the amount covered by PEFSAD.
